Lucknow: A unique blend of devotion, community bonding, and public service was witnessed at Chinhat Police Station in Lucknow, where a grand bhandara drew large crowds of devotees throughout the day.
The religious and community event began around 2 PM, with long queues of visitors forming inside the police station premises. Devotees continued arriving till late evening to participate in the gathering and receive prasad distributed during the event.
In a remarkable sight, police personnel were seen not only managing arrangements and maintaining order but also actively serving devotees with dedication and warmth. The Station House Officer of Chinhat personally stood at the entrance, welcoming visitors and ensuring smooth coordination throughout the programme.
The atmosphere inside the police station turned festive and devotional, with bhajans and spiritual songs creating a serene environment. Local residents, traders, and several prominent members of society attended the event in large numbers, reflecting strong community participation.

Several senior officers from the Lucknow Police also joined the programme. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (East Zone), Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Assistant Commissioner of Police of Vibhuti Khand, along with other IPS officers, participated in the bhandara and received prasad. Station heads from multiple police stations across the city were also present.
The police station premises were specially decorated for the occasion, while arrangements for seating and drinking water were made to ensure convenience for devotees. Police personnel managed the crowd in an orderly manner and distributed prasad systematically.
Local residents appreciated the initiative, saying such events help strengthen trust and communication between the police and the public. Many attendees described the gathering as an example of how law enforcement can also play a meaningful role in promoting social harmony and community engagement beyond policing duties.
